Amber Barajas

Amber Barajas is a highly-skilled professional with extensive experience in payroll, accounting, and human resources. She has successfully designed, implemented, managed, and administered payroll, HR, and benefits system solutions for medium to large organizations. Over the past two decades, Amber has held various operational, management, and leadership roles in several companies, such as BBSI, Reiter Affiliated Companies, Driscoll, and General Motors. Amber has been responsible for managing all aspects of payroll, human resources, benefits, and time & attendance projects, and has served on numerous project steering committees, as well as held the roles of project lead and functional consultant. Amber started her career with BBSI in 2015 in the Camarillo, CA office with the belief that she could provide excellent service to business owners, making them feel as comfortable as if they were dealing with the payroll department right down the hall. It’s a relief for business owners to feel confident that their payroll, tax, and regulatory issues are handled properly and accurately. Accuracy, dependability, and professionalism are core principles that guide her work. With her years of experience, Amber has developed the ability to quickly assess situations, find effective resolutions, and communicate calmly and accurately to address client concerns. In 2021, she assumed the role of BBSI's Payroll Operations Manager, overseeing not only BBSI's payroll operations, but also the newly established Payroll Service Center. Leading a team of 18 elite payroll professionals, she is committed to delivering on BBSI's promise of fast, simple, and hassle-free payroll processing that saves businesses time and money. Amber has also managed day-to-day payroll processing and team operations, as well as year-end compliance and processing for the Management Payroll and Payroll Service Center. Amber is a member of the American Payroll Association (APA), and most recently began to champion the BBSI Southern California APA Chapter. Amber is very active in her community and enjoys running and CrossFit. Amber and her husband, Manuel, live in Fillmore, CA and they have a son, Ayden, and a daughter, Jeseni. They also have four dogs, Biggie Smalls and Faith (frenchies), and Scarlett and Marlyn (terrier mixes).
